Heads up: some links here are affiliate links. If you sign up or buy, Side Stack gets a cut at no extra cost to you. It doesn't change what we say about anything.
Most "free plans" are a trial with a nicer name. systeme.io's isn't. There's no end date and you don't put in a card. So the real question is whether the limits are enough to get something off the ground.
What's in the free plan
- 2,000 email contacts and unlimited emails to them
- 3 sales funnels (a funnel is a set of pages, like a signup page plus a thank-you page)
- 1 online course
- Checkout, so you can actually take payments
- A blog and website pages
For a first offer that's plenty. 2,000 contacts is a lot more than most people get in their first year.
What's good
- Pages, email and checkout live in one place, so you're not gluing three tools together.
- No card means no surprise bill.
- The editor is simple. You can get a signup page up in an afternoon.
What's annoying
- The templates look plain. You'll want to tweak fonts and spacing so it doesn't look like everyone else's.
- 3 funnels goes fast if you like testing ideas.
- Design control is more limited than in a dedicated page builder.
When you'd actually pay
The Startup plan is $17/month for 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 5 courses. You'd only need it once you outgrow the free limits, which usually means something's already working.
Who should skip it
If you need heavy custom code or a big team setup, look elsewhere. If you just want to collect emails and sell a first product, it's hard to beat free.
